The research group
Since February 2018, the Research Group of Bilingual and Multilingual Language Processing has been developing studies on the cognitive processes underlying language acquisition, aiming to contribute to the elucidation of foreign language teaching / learning. The knowledge derived from these studies has the potential to contribute to the improvement of teaching methodologies, to the development of educational software and systems for voice recognition and automatic translation. In this area, the following research questions stand out: vocabulary acquisition , lexical access, foreign language production and comprehesion, reading and translation.
The group meets every week to discuss theoretical texts relevant to the area and ongoing research. The meetings are open to everyone interested in the mentioned topics. The day / time / location of the meetings for the 2020.1 semester will be informed soon.
